US election polls

US election prediction: Joe Biden is leading Donald Trump in the national polls for the presidential election.
Currently in US election 2020 polls, the 10-poll average show that just under 50 percent of Americans sim to back support Biden while Mr. Trump’s support trails this by around five or six points.
But that doesn’t guarantee the Democratic candidate victory because the US election system works differently.
For example, In 2016 Hillary Clinton led in the polls and won nearly three million more votes than Donald Trump, but she still lost - that's because the US uses an electoral college system, so winning the most votes doesn't always win you the election.

US presidential debate

US presidential election 2020 first presidential debate between Donald and Joe Biden took place on 30 September.

A further two debates were scheduled to take place on October 15 and October 22, though the October 15 debate was later canceled due to Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis and refusal to appear remotely rather than in person.

US election 2020 results date

After the US election date polls being closed, it could take days or even weeks to find out
US election results whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump has won. Millions of more Americans are expected to vote by post because of coronavirus that leads to a delay in counting all the votes is highly likely.

US presidents are not decided by the national vote, but by winning enough states.
270 electoral votes are needed t
o win the White House.
